In a nutshell, discipleship is about becoming like Jesus. In many churches, you can get preached to death on Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday, too, without ever really having the time or ability to apply what you’ve heard. At The Gathering, we don’t believe that is the healthiest approach.
Our approach is to listen to what God has to say to us on Sunday morning and then do it! The hard part is sometimes figuring out exactly how to do that in our own lives. That’s where Journey Groups come in.
Journey Groups meet weekly either at the church campus or in homes in order to take what was talked about Sunday morning and work on applying it together. It is a place for real ministry, real community, and real fun.
