Our worship team strives for excellence while remembering that our hearts' posture before God is what is most important. Our music is a mixture of modern hymns and contemporary worship. We make sure to select music that is both musically beautiful and rich in truth.
There are a lot of different ways you can use your talents and gifts if you are interested in serving in our worship ministry! We're always looking for more singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers, and pianists. Don't see your instrument on the list? Let us know what you play and we can see where you might be able to fit into this ministry! We also have opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings for those with audiovisual expertise (soundboard, live stream video, and slides.) Contact Kevin Terry or Tori Rogers if interested!
Our prayer team meets the second Tuesday of every month to pray over our church, the city, our world, and specific requests our church members have. During this time, we read a passage of scripture and let the Holy Spirit direct our prayer through His Word. It is an encouraging and nourishing way to experience the work of God together! If you would like to learn more or have something you would like for our team to pray over, contact Carey Bryant or Tori Rogers.
The Grandparent's Ministry started when God placed the families of our church on the hearts of several of the Gathering's grandparents. They started meeting regularly and began to live out their desire to be faithful in praying for their own grandchildren and for The Gathering children. The Gathering Grandparents now meet every other week and cover their own children and grandchildren and our church's families in prayer. They are also always watching for ways to minister to these families and impart a legacy of faith to the next generation. We are so thankful to have our wisest generation interceding for us and coming alongside as we raise our children! If you would like to learn more, contact Brenda Edwards or Tori Rogers.
Our hospitality team volunteers are the hands, feet, words, and often smiles of Jesus at the Gathering! They are the first people visitors meet on Sunday mornings and it's their desire to make sure that everyone who walks through the front door knows they are welcome. They also work behind the scenes to provide fresh coffee and make sure our building is clean, comfortable, and safe. If you would like to learn more, contact Bayo Olukoya or Tori Rogers.
